Sanya tram demonstration line officially carries passengers

From this moment on, the Sanya Tram Demonstration Line, which was built for 4 years, was officially operated with passengers. This marked the first rail transit line in Hainan Province to enter the stage of history and Sanya entered the era of trams.

After the start of Sanya tram operation, the first train stopped at the platform of Sanya Railway Station. Citizens and tourists bought tickets for medical examinations to enjoy the safety, convenience and comfort brought by the new type of transportation. The first and last stations of the Sanya Tram Demonstration Line are Sanya Railway Station and Jiangang Road. It only takes about 35 minutes one-way. The passing stations are: Sanya Railway Station, Yuxiu Road Station, Fenghuang Road Station, Shuicheng Road Station, Sanya Hedong Road Station, Jiefang Road Station, Jinjiling Street Station, Youyi Street Station, Yingbin Road Station, Jixiang Street Station, Tuanjie Street Station, Xinfeng Street Station, Guangming Street Station, Yuejin Street Station, Jiangang Road Station.

It is understood that this demonstration line is the first domestic tram line to be constructed under the PPP mode, and it is also the first urban rail transit line in Hainan Province. It officially started construction in July 2016, with a total length of 8.37 kilometers and a total of 15 lines. Each station, the demonstration line adopts a one-vote system of 3 yuan/person.

The demonstration line connects important transportation hubs such as Sanya Railway Station and Sanya Bus Terminal, passing Sanya Aviation Tourism Vocational College, Fourth Middle School, Ninth Primary School, First Primary School and other schools, as well as Wanghao Supermarket on Jiefang Road, Jiefang Road Pedestrian Street, and Third Farm Markets, Shengli Shopping Plaza and other shopping malls, the section from Jinjiling Street Station to Jiangang Road Station is only a few hundred meters away from Sanya Bay. It is a good choice for citizens and tourists for daily travel, sightseeing and sightseeing.
