On May 16 this year, Fuzhou's face recognition public service platform was launched, and it was the first to start the test of the facial recognition application in Fuzhou Metro. With the full support of Fuzhou Metro, after 3 months of testing and improvement, the subway face-sweeping ride function was put into trial operation on August 28.

It is reported that face-swiping rides have achieved full coverage of all stations of the Fuzhou Metro. This ride method saves time compared to swiping cards and scanning codes.

The relevant person in charge of the Fuzhou Big Data Committee stated that in recent years, the city has seized the opportunity of "new infrastructure" development, used existing construction results and data security systems, and adopted self-developed, world-class facial recognition algorithms to build urban face recognition platforms. Realize the large-scale application of facial recognition and sensorless payment across the country, and is committed to gradually integrating advanced image recognition technology into the fields of transportation, education, medical care, public affairs, corporate services, etc., to build the country's first The autonomous and open "urban brain" provides platform support.

If you want to use the face to enter the station, first, citizens need to download the "e-Fuzhou" App to complete membership registration and real-name authentication.

After that, click "Transportation" → "Swipe face ride" on the "eFuzhou" App, enter the SMS verification code received, and pre-open the face swipe ride service.

After completing the pre-opening, you must bring your ID card to each station of Metro Line 1 and 2 to use the self-service machine for portrait collection and identity verification.

When verifying, first click "Enable Face Scan Service" on the screen. Then, follow the prompts to aim your face at the upper camera. Next, use the ID card for authentication, and click "Confirm to activate the face scanning service" after the authentication is completed.

After completing the self-service machine registration, you can experience the face-sweeping in front of the gates equipped with face recognition terminals to enter the station. Passengers also need to brush their faces before leaving the station.
