Recently, the leading officials and expert acceptance team of the Beijing Metro Line 22 (Pinggu Line) project visited the manufacturing base of Suzhou LEGATE Intelligent Equipment Co., Ltd. to conduct factory acceptance of automatic fare collection (AFC) terminal equipment including turnstiles and automatic ticket vending machines for the project. Management, R&D, production and project principals of LEGATE accompanied the whole inspection.
As a key project for the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and Beijing’s first cross-city suburban rapid transit line, Beijing Metro Line 22 will greatly improve commuter connections between central urban area, Beijing Municipal Administrative Center, Northern Three Counties and Pinggu District upon opening. The turnstiles and automatic ticket vending machines under acceptance serve as core terminals for passenger passage and ticketing services at stations. Their stability, passage efficiency and environmental adaptability directly determine the operational quality of the line in the long run.
In strict accordance with project technical specifications, contractual requirements and rail transit industrial standards, the expert acceptance panel carried out acceptance procedures in an orderly manner. The team toured the production workshop and test area to inspect processing craftsmanship and overall equipment structure. Comprehensive functional verification was implemented item by item, covering passage testing, ticket information reading & writing, human-machine interaction and continuous operation stability. Meanwhile, the panel thoroughly reviewed complete technical documents including drawings, test reports and component lists, with focused inquiries and exchanges on hardware & software interface compatibility as well as equipment performance under high passenger flow scenarios.
After on-site testing, both parties held an acceptance exchange meeting. The acceptance team fully recognized LEGATE’s standardized production management system and comprehensive equipment performance. They confirmed that all indicators of the inspected turnstiles and automatic ticket vending machines meet project design requirements featuring exquisite workmanship and stable operation, thus successfully passing the factory acceptance. In addition, the expert panel put forward suggestions for further optimization considering high-flow operation scenarios of suburban rapid transit.
LEGATE’s project team documented all comments in detail and clarified follow-up optimization, rectification and delivery schedules. Relevant executives of the company stated that LEGATE attaches great importance to the construction of the landmark Beijing Metro Line 22 project. Taking this factory acceptance as a new starting point, LEGATE will continuously enforce rigorous quality control throughout production and commissioning, accelerate mass production and ensure on-time delivery.
